Guidelines for Submissions

WBC2022 uses a 3-stage submission process for abstracts, papers and presentations.

STAGE 1: Abstracts

Stage 1 is complete.  Abstract submissions closed on 11 July 2021.

STAGE 2: Papers

Paper submissions closed on 15 January 2022. 

Double-blind peer review results were released 22 Feb 2022.

Papers were accepted, rejected, or conditionally accepted with revisions required.

For conditional acceptances, revised paper review results were released 29 March 2022.

STAGE 3: camera-ready Papers and presentations

Papers accepted in Stage 2 will be presented at WBC2022 and published in the Congress Proceedings.

The deadline to submit camera-ready papers and presentations is Monday 20 June 2022.

Presentation guidelines

Authors may present papers at WBC2022 in person, live online, or online in a pre-recorded video.

Submit your presentation slides (or a link to your pre-recorded video) via Oxford Abstracts before 20 June 2022.

SESSION ORGANISATION

  • Papers will be presented in 60-minute sessions (4 papers) or 90-minute sessions (6 papers)

  • Review your session presentation order to ensure smooth transitions (coming soon!)

  • Sessions will include time for Q&A.

PRESENTATION SLIDES

  • Three CIB slide templates are available.

  • You may use your own slide templates and formatting.

  • Maximum presentation time: 10 minutes

  • Include your contact/social networking details for further discussion or collaboration following the session.

  • Upload your presentation slides to Oxford Abstracts before 20 June 2022 in one of the following formats:

    • .pptx

    • .ppt

    • .pdf

  • The maximum size for file uploads is 10 MB.

PRESENTING IN PERSON

  • Register for the Congress

  • Complete your online profile so delegates can find and connect with you (coming soon!)

  • Attend an onboarding session and read the FAQ (coming soon!)

  • We prefer you to present using the in-room device.  If you are using your own laptop/device, test your equipment before your presentation to make sure it’s working and compatible with in-room equipment

 

PRESENTING ONLINE

  • Register for the Congress

  • CIB backdrops are available here

    • Using your own backdrop is acceptable

    • If you are not using a backdrop, consider what is visible behind you

  • Complete your online profile so delegates can find and connect with you (coming soon!)

  • Attend an onboarding session (coming soon!)

  • Test your equipment before your presentation to make sure it’s working

  • Find a quiet space with bright lighting

  • You may pre-record your presentation.  Upload your pre-recorded presentation to the platform of your choice (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo) and submit the link to your video in Oxford Abstracts before 20 June 2022.
